Happy New Year! We hope you’ve had some down time over the past few weeks to spend with friends and family as we have. With the holidays season coming to a close and the start of 2017 upon us, we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know of some important changes we’ve implemented in Life Safety Systems, Inc. (LSS) in ringing in the New Year. We hope these will have a favorable impact upon you, our customer, and better serve your needs and fulfill your requirements.
First though, let us start off by saying that 2016 was a great year for LSS. We realize that much of our success is attributed to our outstanding customers. We want to personally thank you for your continued loyalty and support. LSS would not have been able to grow in numbers and expand in capabilities this past year without you!
The two key areas that significant changes have occurred in LSS’s procedures are in our Service and Testing Divisions. In the Testing area, the close of 2016 marked a significant milestone for our company with the completion of our in-house training facility. With the training facility now available, LSS is able to offer complimentary systems training to our customers. Our goal is to educate customers about their systems' functions, with the expected outcome of reducing maintenance costs. Through thorough education, we will work as a team with our customers to help make managing all property safety systems easier for everyone. LSS will consider conducting training at the customer site in those rare cases where the customer can't attend training at LSS’s facility.
In the Service area, LSS has established dedicated account managers for each customer! Customers now only need to directly contact their account manager for all of their property's needs (to include the complimentary training discussed above). You should be receiving an introductory email from your account manager by the end of this week with their contact information.

Mike Krohe- Operations Coordinator
Mike recently joined our team last fall and he has 11 years of experience in the construction industry as well as with dispatching. With his strong organizational skills, Mike has implemented many new processes and has helped to increase job efficiency. Don't let his organization and structure fool you, he likes to stash candy at his desk and is a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Ashley Eder: Test & Inspection Manager
Ashley is the Test & Inspection Manager and has been at LSS for four years. She is responsible for scheduling inspections, coordinating with subcontractors, maintaining the company's inspection software, and is the self-proclaimed Mother of Dragons who takes care of the office lizard, Elsa.
Meagan Lewns- Senior Account Manager
Meagan is our Senior Account Manager and lead trainer for new employees. She is an avid scuba diver and is working on her technical certification. She is also a huge Star Wars nerd and enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Millie and Jinx.
Alan Llanes- Account Manager
Alan joined LSS last spring and he has a strong background in customer service. Alan recently adopted a dog to add to our LSS dog family named Waffles. He also is a sports fanatic and supports the Orioles, Newcastle United, and the Ravens.
Kathleen Turowski: Account Manager
Kathleen is a recent graduate from Towson University and joined our team this past summer. She is excited to meet the life safety needs of her customers as one of three Account Managers. Kathleen has a passion for animals and one day hopes to own her own animal sanctuary.
